Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the UP TET 2026 notification — the mandatory eligibility exam for teaching posts in UP government primary and upper primary schools. Applications open from 27 March to 26 April 2026. Exam: 03 July 2026. Paper I covers Classes 1-5, Paper II covers Classes 6-8. Key changes in 2026: EWS candidates get 5% mark relaxation, and live photo verification is now mandatory during application. UP TET score is valid for lifetime.

Qualification
- •Paper I: Bachelor's Degree with 50% + D.El.Ed/B.Ed (passed or appearing).

- •Candidates can appear for both papers simultaneously.

Exam Pattern
- •150 MCQs in 150 minutes — each paper.
- •No Negative Marking.
- •Qualifying marks: General/OBC/EWS — 60% (90/150). SC/ST/PH — 55% (82/150).
- •New 2026: EWS candidates get 5% relaxation. Live photo verification mandatory.
