Short Information
Indian Army has released the 67th Short Service Commission Technical (SSC Tech) entry for women engineers with 29 vacancies across Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical engineering branches. Unlike most government jobs, there is no written exam here — selection is entirely through SSB Interview, which tests leadership potential and personality over 5 days. Applications were open from 06 January to 04 February 2026 at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Age limit is 20 to 27 years as on 01 October 2026. No application fee for any category. Selected women officers will be commissioned as Lieutenants for the October 2026 course.

- •Must be unmarried woman. Age: 20 to 27 years as on 01 October 2026.

Selection Process — No Written Exam
- •SSB Interview (5 days): Stage 1 — Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PPDT). Stage 2 — Psychology tests, GTO tasks, and personal interview before a Board of Officers.
- •Medical Examination: At designated Military Hospitals after SSB clearance.
- •Merit List: Based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
SSB centres: Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Kapurthala. Travel allowance provided for SSB interview.
