Indian Army has released the Agniveer (अग्निवीर) recruitment notification for 2026 under the Agnipath Scheme with an estimated 25,000+ vacancies across GD, Technical, Clerk, and Tradesman categories. What makes this cycle different — selection now starts with an Online CEE (Computer Based Exam) before the physical rally, reducing travel burden on candidates. Age limit is 17.5 to 21 years. Stipend starts at ₹30,000/month in Year 1, rising to ₹40,000 by Year 4. After 4 years, 25% Agniveers are retained for permanent service.

Qualification
- •Agniveer GD: 10th pass with minimum 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject.
- •Agniveer Technical: 10+2 Science (PCM) with minimum 50% aggregate.
- •Agniveer Clerk/SKT: 12th pass in any stream with 60% aggregate (50% in each subject).
- •Agniveer Tradesman (10th): 10th pass with 33% in each subject.
- •Agniveer Tradesman (8th): 8th pass with 33% in each subject.

Selection Process
- •Phase 1 — Online CEE: National online computer based exam — GK, General Science, Maths, Reasoning.
- •Phase 2 — Physical Fitness Test (PFT): 1.6 km run, pull-ups, sit-ups at rally venue. Only CEE qualifiers are called.
- •Phase 3 — Medical Examination at district military hospitals.
- •Phase 4 — Document Verification and final merit list.
