- •Bachelor's Degree with at least one subject from: Animal Husbandry, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Zoology from a recognized university, OR
- •Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering.
- •Age: 21 to 37 years (category-wise) as on 01 August 2025.

Complete Selection Process
- •Stage 1 — Written Exam: Paper I General Hindi (100 marks, qualifying) + Paper II General Studies (300 marks). Top 6x vacancies category-wise shortlisted for interview.
- •Stage 2 — Interview (50 marks): Personality test before BPSSC panel. Added to Paper II score for final merit.
- •Stage 3 — PET: 25 km walk males / 14 km walk females within 4 hours. Qualifying only.
- •Stage 4 — Medical Examination: As per Bihar Forest Range Officer Cadre Rules 2013.
Final Merit = Paper II (300) + Interview (50) = 350 marks. PET and Medical are qualifying only.
