Selection Process — BPSSC Forest Range Officer 2026
- •Written Examination (Paper I + Paper II): Paper I is General Hindi (qualifying only, 100 marks). Paper II is General Studies (300 marks, counts in merit). Candidates scoring 6x vacancies category-wise move forward.
- •Interview (50 Marks): Shortlisted candidates appear for interview. These 50 marks are added to Paper II score to prepare the final merit list.
- •Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Males must walk 25 km and females 14 km within 4 hours. This is a qualifying stage — marks not added to merit.
- •Medical Examination: Final fitness check as per Bihar Forest Range Officer Cadre (Recruitment and Service Conditions) Rules, 2013.
Final Merit = Written Exam (Paper II) marks + Interview marks (50). PET and Medical are qualifying only.
